Mourn & Celebrate at the same time This article is about a woman who has had her last child. It also fits with my church life right now.

Yesterday my church disbanded, and so did another one that is close by. We did this because we are uniting to form a new church. But that doesn't happen until next Sunday. So I am churchless. Yesterday was a chantpleur day. (Read the article, it's a French word I just learned. I wish I knew how to pronounce it.)

Trip to the zoo

DS2's daycare class went on a field trip to the zoo today. I went along. He rode on my hip in the sling for the first half, letting a friend ride in the wagon. Then he decided that the wagon was okay and rode in it for the rest of the visit.

The chimps were very active. One even came over and banged on the glass right in front of the kids. There was a young one that rolled around in the grass a lot, too. An orangutan played on the "ropes" and in a barrel for us, but the gorillas just sat up on the rock. A giraffe came very close the the fence (3 feet away maybe) eating grass right by us, and the elephant trainers were out so we saw Stephanie doing tricks. The we headed for the petting farm area before coming back. Most of the sheep & even the small goats were bigger than all of the kids. The teachers tried to get pictures of each of the kids petting or standing by an animal.
